The Evaluation and Technology Transfer Unit (S-2):
explores the market demands for innovation, matches market needs with products and transferable results of research activities;
designs and implements technology transfer activities in cooperation with Regional rural development offices and monitors the outcomes;
assists and supports the Research Centres and Research Units of the CRA in the protection of Intellectual Property;
manages the IP portfolio of the CRA and assists the Research Centres and Research Units of the CRA in the development of licencing agreements and in dealing with the IP management clauses of research contracts;
updates the web-accessible data-bases of intellectual property, transferable research results and scientific publications of the CRA;
assists research scientists and other staff members in the launch of spin-off companies, with the possible participation of other public and private partners;
coordinates the periodical evaluation of research activities, supports the monitoring of research projects, and facilitates the action of the Independent Evaluation Committee.
